Larry Bateman

Larry Bateman, Vice Chairman for BancorpSouth Bank and Executive Vice President for BancorpSouth, Inc., has spent 34 years in the banking industry. Twenty of those years have been with BancorpSouth.

He has been community president at West Point, Mississippi, division president of the Jackson, Mississippi division and regional president for Tennessee. In addition, Bateman has served as executive vice president for Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana before being named vice chairman.

His areas of responsibility for BancorpSouth are Information Technology/Data Processing, Lending Operations, Deposit Operations and Cash Management. Bateman holds a Bachelor of Science degree and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a graduate of the School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
