W Gregg Cowsert

Mr. Cowsert is Executive Vice President of BancorpSouth, Inc., an $11.9 billion asset bank holding company whose subsidiary bank operates more than 270 banking locations in Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Cowsert has served as Executive Vice President and Division Head of Loan Administration from 1992 to 1996 before becoming Vice Chairman and Chief Lending Officer of BancorpSouth Bank.

He is a Tupelo native and graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Banking and Finance. He also graduated from The Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.

Mr. Cowsert has been associated with numerous banking and finance trade organizations. He is a member of Robert Morris Associates and past chairman of the Legal and Legislative Committee and the Credit Ethics Committee for the Southeastern US Chapter of RMA. Mr. Cowsert is a past member of the Executive Board of the Pine Burr Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. He is also a past member of the Board of Directors for the Hattiesburg Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Hattiesburg Area Development Corporation.
